Lake Tinaroo

Lake Tinaroo is a very popular spot for swimmers, skiers, walkers, fishing (permit required), red clawing, ideal for picnics with barbecues available and has five camping areas located around the back of the dam in the Danbulla State Forest.

Tinaroo is a small settlement of accommodation and private residences on the edge of Lake Tinaroo and has developed into one of the region’s most popular tourist locations that has so much to offer everyone.

Enthusiasts in sailing, skiing, swimming, fishing, red clawing, bird watching, walking, are all attracted to this town.

Or for a more leisurely pastime, take a relaxing stroll along the jetty to see the dam spillway or enjoy one of the many picnic spots in the area.

Jaques Coffee Plantation

Jaques Coffee Plantation is an Agri-Tourism business in the Mareeba Shire with 85,000 productive coffee trees, a 130 seat fully licensed restaurant and café sits at the heart of the plantation, onsite roastery and gift shop.

Visitors and locals can immerse themselves in a coffee experience and take either a short self guided tour or a longer fully guided tour both encompassing our half hour unique coffee documentary in an air conditioned theatre.

Enjoy lunch by chefs using local and seasonal produce from the modern Australian menu or an artisan barista made coffee using house roast espresso roasted coffee beans from the plantation with homemade scones and cake.

The gift shop is fully stocked with roasted coffee, biopods, accessories and other locally made products such as honey, chocolate, chili sauce, coffee liqueur, coconut and coffee oils, jams and Worcestershire Sauce are available to take home and order online.
